Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School is an interactive learning environment that expands beyond the classroom walls to the museums, the community and the world to prepare students for future success.
About Us
Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School gives students access to the wealth of resources located in downtown Raleigh, the heart of North Carolina. Dynamic partnerships with local and state museums, government organizations, performing arts centers and area businesses offer students a springboard to knowledge-deepening their understanding and shaping their future world.
Moore Square Museums Learning
- Museums partnerships with cultural arts centers, government organizations and museums. Students visit a wide variety of exhibitions and performances.
- Cosmopolitan experience of Downtown Raleigh with a safe, nurturing environment.
- Paideia approach to teaching, with inquiry-based lessons, seminar discussions and cross-curriculum projects.
- Challenging academic program in a supportive community, with a rigorous curriculum, goal setting, and a variety of ways to demonstrate knowledge and achieve success.
- State-of-the-Art technology, classroom computers, and interactive software for exploring robotics, structural engineering and more.
- Business Alliance with corporate leaders who conduct seminars and provide guidance through mentoring programs.

Interim reports were sent home with students today. Please ask your student to share his/her progress with you. If you have any questions or concerns, contact your student's teacher.

It's Spirit Week at the Square! Monday is Championship day, Tuesday is Wacky Tacky day, Wednesday is Way Back day, Thursday is Spirit day and Friday is Switch day.

Staff from Moore Square will be making a special visit to the 5th grade parents and students. They will be at Poe Montessori, on Monday, February 6th at 8:35am in the Media Center, at Brooks Museums Magnet on Tuesday, February 7th at 8:45am in the Media Center and at Partnership Elementary School on Tuesday, February 7th at 5:00pm in the Multipurpose Room.

Academic Help Desk has been moved from the Media Center to the teachers' classrooms. Please continue to sing your students' agenda book as a pass to this morning tutoring session. Mondays/Wednesdays-Language Arts & Social Studies and Tuesday/Thursday-Math and Science

The volunteer registration system will be open from 8:00am-4:00pm on Mondays only beginning October 31, 2011 through May 21, 2012. You may register at any WCPSS school.
