About the Library Media Center 

The mission of the Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School Media Center is to ensure that all students become lifelong independent readers, critical thinkers and effective users of ideas and information.  The Media Center collection provides students with access to a full range of information resources, both in print and in electronic format to support WCPSS curriculum and to encourage recreational reading.  The Library Media Center is located on the second floor of Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School.

Destiny

The online catalog to access the media center collection is Destiny.  The homepage of Destiny is used as a reference point of research for students.  Please check the homepage to see if your teacher has identified links for your research projects.  Also, please use the Webpath Express option located under the catalog tab - left hand side of the page.  Webpath Express is a search engine, specifically designed for middle school students!  Please contact Mrs. McDaniel if you have any questions about Destiny or Webpath Express. 

Subject Resources

WCPSS provides online resources for Moore Square Middle School students and staff.  Located on the home page of Destiny, one will find links to these Research Databases.  Included through this link is access to Student Research Center, Britannica, InfoTrac Junior, NoveList, Lands & Peoples and much more!  Take some time to check out these great resources.  Sometimes, finding what you want requires that you venture beyond the WCPSS databases!  How do you determine if the website you are using is accurate, timely and relevant?  Use the following tool for evaluating websites!  Its as easy as ABC - ABCD's of Website Evaluation
