Athletics are a vital part of student life. Whether on the field, court, or track, our student athletes grow through teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. We believe athletics support the whole child, fostering physical wellness, strong character, and lifelong friendships.
Athletic Zone
We are the Mountain Lions, but because Moore Square Magnet Middle School has a small student population of around 600, we cannot support our own athletic teams. However, we partner with Ligon Magnet Middle School to offer team sports opportunities. Interested seventh and eighth graders may try out for sports teams at Ligon. (Sixth-grade students cannot participate in sports teams at any middle school.) Visit Ligon's Athletic Zone for schedules and tryout information.
We do offer intramural sports for all students, including sixth graders.
